White Rock Networks Inc., Member Technical Staff 2 (Lead PCB Designer) - 2000-2006

 

·        Designed high speed, impedance controlled, multilayer PCBs for carrier class telecommunications equipment.

·        Assisted in the hiring of the Engineering Services design staff.

·        Responsible for supporting and mentoring 6 designers and a librarian at the peak of the company’s development cycle.

·        Coordinated mechanical, electrical design and test with engineers and manufacturing, locally and in China.

·        Trained and supported engineers and designers in the use of enterprise software (Oracle and internally developed software) and design software (Cadence Allegro, Cadence Concept, Valor), locally and in China.

·        Created and maintained schematic and component libraries.

·        Developed and maintained process and work flow documentation for PCB design and manufacturing test meeting ISO 9000 certification.

 

 


 

ADC Telecommunications Inc., PCB Designer - 1997-2000

 

·        Designed high speed, high layer count PCBs for carrier class telecommunications equipment.

·        Maintained component libraries.

·        Trained and mentored new PCB designers

·        Worked with captive manufacturing division in Minneapolis, Minnesota on assembly and test issues of designs. Coordinated the development of land patterns for 50 mil, 1mm and .8mm pitch BGA and sub 20 mil pitch surface mount components.

·        Developed process documentation for SAP automation and ISO 9000 certification.

·        Conducted SAP training and support for Richardson, TX office.

 

Intellicall Inc., Sr. PCB Designer - 1993-1996

 

·        Designed double sided and multilayer low power, as well as carrier class telecommunications PCBs.

·        Standardized the library system and maintenance.

·         Developed a standardized component specification/request system.

·        Assisted the mechanical drafting group for engineering change documentation as well as new PCB and PCA releases.

·        Responsible for requesting quotations and placement of orders for all prototype PCBs with fabrication house.

·        Coordinated assembly of PCBs with contract assembly houses.

·        Captured schematics and created layouts of double sided to 6 layer PCBs.
