February meeting to be presented by Glenn Wells and another instructor. Subject IC Design. Location and time TBD.
ACTION ITEM Glenn Wells: Contact other instructor and let us know the date and time.
March contains PCB West and the IPC Printed circuit EXPO. Might be a good month to reschedule Andy's presentation if we can find a time/date that does
not conflict. ACTION ITEM Andy Kowalewski: Please advise.
April meeting scheduled to hear presentations from people who attended PCB WEST or EXPO. They will present topics from the shows. ACTION ITEM Glenn
Wells: Will coordinate speakers and topics
May: IPC Designer Learning Symposium will be held in Dallas. We are going to offer a plant tour, preferably of a PWB manufacturer, during the show. We
will also coordinate an evening reception and live music. ACTION ITEM Oliver Webb: Locate a suitable location for the tour. Suggestions include Eagle Circuits, Network Circuits, ElectroPlate. Also CMs Flextronics,
Sanmina, VLSIP, HP, Xetel.
ACTION ITEM Keith Larson: Locate a facility for the reception.
ACTION ITEM Keith Larson: Help IPC (Stephanie 847-790-5302) locate a facility for the Symposium and a Hotel for the attendees. Coordinate buses for the
tour and reception.
Glenn Wells is going to offer a Study Guide for the Advanced Designer Certification at the end of each meeting, up until the symposium, at which time the test
will be given.
Due to business obligations and other volunteer work, Keith Larson is withdrawing his nomination for President. He has been nominated for Secretary/Treasurer and
will continue on the Board of Directors. Paul Bartholomew has accepted the nomination for President and James Ross for Vice President.
