Test Equipment Design Engineer: This position is responsible for test
process and equipment ownership. You will perform full life cycle planning
and design of rack and stack and tabletop test equipment from new product
eval and test plan stage through design of test equipment to full-scale
manufacturing and ongoing support of the test equipment and processes.
Requirements: 5+ years as a Test Engineer in a high-volume manufacturing
environment for high-speed products is required. We're looking for someone
who has a BSEE (required) but who also has a strong mechanical aptitude and
experience setting up and maintaining automated test equipment,
electro-mechanical, pneumatic equipment and precision stepper motors. We
also require a strong understanding of DOE, Statistical Sampling, Gage R&R
and similar and someone out of high-speed package-level product Test (for
RF, Opto, wireless, semiconductor (package-level), sensors, LEDs or similar
products). As we have operations in South America, a Spanish-English
speaker is a plus but bilingual is not required. Additional bonus skills
include: experience with C++, VB or LabView, experience with Six Sigma or
similar quality measures, and Project Management or leadership experience or
aptitude.
Junior Manufacturing Engineer (alternative background - Production Engineer,
Packaging Engineer, Assembly Engineer, Mechanical Engineer or New Product
Development Engineer): Engineering responsibility for an automated assembly
process (die attach, electronics assembly, wire bonding, etc). This is a
junior-level position (2+ years experience required) and you will come in
and be mentored by a Senior Engineer. Eventually you will own your own
products from concept through design and production. We're seeking someone
out of package-level fiber-optics, sensors, wireless, RF or possibly
board-level for similar products. You will assist in the specification of
new manufacturing equipment and processes. You will be an active member of
the team that collaborates with design engineering, logistics, test/quality
engineering and customers to develop automated assembly processes,
documentation, process control plans, and production control requirements
Requirements:
* For a degreed (BSEE or BSME) candidate we require a minimum 2+ years as a
Manufacturing Engineer (or similar) or for a non-degreed candidate we
require a minimum 7+ years experience including technical experience in
high-volume electronic assembly environment
* Solid experience with automated assembly (wire bond, die attach, etc) and
test equipment.
* Strong mechanical aptitude and also understanding of the electrical
aspects of high-speed Test Engineering.
* Strong interpersonal/teaming skills and ability to communicate across
diverse Operations and Engineering groups and with Customers.
* Fluency with Six Sigma methodology/tools such as Root Cause Analysis, Gage
R&R, SPC, FMEA, Control Plans, DOE
* Strong written communication (memos) and verbal communications skills
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and ideally a CAD
design product such as Solidworks is required.
Optical Design Engineer: Responsible for full life cycle design of optical
components - manage design projects, create package drawings, analyze test
data to establish specs, communicate with operations team to ensure
manufacturing robustness and communicate with customers to negotiate specs
and project deliverables and support manufacturing with data analysis and
troubleshooting support.
Requirements:
* BSEE or BSME and 5+ years of relevant design experience
* Experience with design tools including SolidWorks
* Experience with statistical analysis tools including: JMP, DFM, DFSS, Six
Sigma, DOE
* Experience with PC Software including Microsoft suite and MS Project
* Strong written and verbal communication skills (listening, making
presentations)
